Duties
- Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of domestic water systems, drainage, venting, and other plumbing components on construction sites.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Conduct detailed construction estimating for plumbing projects, including material take-offs and labor costs.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, building code analysis standards, and construction regulatory requirements.
- Supervise a team of plumbers and apprentices, providing guidance on technical tasks such as pipe threading, welding, assembly, and use of hand tools or power tools.
- Perform site inspections to verify plumbing system integrity, troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to facilitate smooth workflow on construction sites.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work progress through schematics review, field service reports, and compliance checklists.
- Oversee heavy lifting activities safely while managing construction schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Support remodeling or maintenance projects by applying handyman skills such as carpentry or basic math calculations for precise installations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Master Plumber with extensive construction site experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong background in construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and building code compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction plumbing systems including HVAC integration and heavy-duty pipe threading.
- Skilled in welding techniques and the use of hand tools and power tools essential for complex installations.
- Knowledge of construction regulatory compliance standards specific to local building codes related to plumbing systems.
- Experience supervising teams of tradespeople on large-scale projects with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation for mechanical systems within commercial or residential buildings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during assembly or remodeling tasks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for site mobility; handyman experience is a plus for versatile project support.
