Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing systems using hand tools, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic tools
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and system repairs on electrical systems associated with HVAC/R equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for accurate installation and troubleshooting procedures
- Diagnose issues with HVAC system components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, valves, and controls; execute effective repairs or replacements
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes
- Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations for refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards
Skills
- Proven construction experience with mechanical systems installation and property maintenance
- Service technician experience in HVAC/R or related fields with a strong understanding of refrigeration and boiler systems
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams accurately
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles and equipment troubleshooting techniques
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments
- Experience with electrical diagnostics and electrical systems repair within HVAC applications
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with
driver requirements preferred - Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification required; additional certifications in appliance repair or ammonia refrigeration are a plus
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups including piping connections and leak detection
- Mechanical systems repair experience including air conditioning units, ventilation fans, ductwork modifications, and mechanical system maintenance

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
