What You'll Do
As an Automotive Parts Advisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Service Department by ensuring technicians and customers receive the right parts quickly and accurately.
Responsibilities Include
Assist service technicians in identifying and ordering OEM, aftermarket, and recycled parts for vehicle repairs.
Assist retail, wholesale, and internal customers with parts inquiries, pricing, and product selection.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to parts requests professionally and efficiently.
Order parts that are not in stock while monitoring availability and backorders.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments for accuracy and damage.
Stock, organize, and maintain inventory to ensure an efficient and well-organized parts department.
Pull, stage, and distribute parts for technicians and internal departments.
Process parts returns, warranty parts, cores, and credits according to dealership procedures.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts as needed.
Coordinate with vendors regarding damaged or defective parts.
Assist with shipping, receiving, stocking, and other parts department duties as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers while working collaboratively with the Service Department.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous automotive parts department experience OR above-average automotive knowledge is required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
