Responsibilities
Purchasing Responsibilities (90–95%)
- Support overall purchasing operations and departmental administration
- Process purchase orders, maintain purchase order (PO) data, and coordinate EDI order transmissions
- Manage inventory and perform inventory data analysis
- Reconcile inventory and investigate discrepancies with warehouse and logistics teams
- Support replenishment planning and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Coordinate shipment schedules, production status, and purchasing information with the Japan headquarters
- Assist in purchasing planning based on sales forecasts and promotional plans
- Calculate transportation costs, duties/tariffs, and related expenses, and support cost management
- Coordinate quality control activities and work closely with related departments
- Provide administrative support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams
- Manage ERP system user access and perform basic system configurations
- Support workflow system operations and maintenance
- Administer SharePoint permissions and access controls
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support
- Provide basic network support, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall-related issues and configurations
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- 2 years of experience in importing, logistics, purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems
- Flexible, positive, and proactive approach to work
- Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
