What You’ll Do: Implementing and monitoring EDI systems, including data mapping, translation and Coordinating relations with and serving as a liaison to internal users, vendors and other external partners with respect to data interchange standards Performing system testing and quality control checks Developing and maintaining EDI documentation Requirements: Must have EDI background with development EDI specialists should have a solid background in information systems technology and working knowledge of data communication protocols. They must be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is normally required. In addition, employers typically look for several years of IT-related experience, plus three or more years with EDI systems administration, design, analysis and development. Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills – both verbal and Good working knowledge of standard computer operating systems, i.e. Microsoft, Unix. Understand object-oriented concepts. Understanding of database objects, tables, views, keys, indexes, stored procedures. Understanding of software design methodologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of Microsoft operating system and networks. Knowledge of SAP and IDOC processing. Knowledge of EDI integration tool like Axway B2Bi, Axway CFT, IBM Sterling Integrator, Knowledge of EDI standards ANSI, EDIFACT, Rosettanet Standard PIP 2.0.
