What Will You Do?
- Participate in Master Production Schedule (MPS) loading decisions through proper material sizing.
- Analyze, maintain, and execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to support production needs.
- Monitor and verify the materials pipeline to ensure alignment with MRP requirements.
- Identify and appropriately address materials supply issues.
- Ensure materials availability to support production according to the Master Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve material supply issues proactively.
- Manage and optimize Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes.
- Issue purchase orders in accordance with negotiated pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Ensure supplier compliance with agreements and performance expectations.
- Maintain accurate master data and planning parameters to balance procurement costs and inventory levels.
- Track and reduce material liabilities by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance across delivery, quality, and service metrics.
- Drive corrective actions for recurring supplier issues using appropriate tools and resources.
- Support Accounts Payable with resolution of invoice discrepancies.
- Provide input into commodity strategies and supplier performance insights.
- Minimize freight expenses associated with materials.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, health, and security policies.
Education
Experience
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education and/or experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working with basic Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Experience in an analyst or similar data-driven role.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials planning preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required).
- Working knowledge of MRP systems and supply chain processes.
- Ability to calculate and interpret financial and operational metrics (percentages, ratios, trends).
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present information to various audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Basic understanding of algebra, geometry, and data interpretation.
- Proficiency with Windows-based systems and general PC applications.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Knowledge of Excel macros or automation tools.
