How will you make an impact?-
The Site Engineering Manager at Jabil, Inc. will lead and manage the engineering team and all engineering activities at a specific manufacturing site, ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the successful execution of manufacturing projects.
What will you do? -
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Oversee all engineering functions at the site, including process engineering, manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, and product introduction.
- Drive the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., NPI, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing manufacturing support.
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to meet project deliverables and operational goals.
- Develop and implement strategies for process improvement, yield optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and Jabil's internal quality management systems.
- Champion problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma) to address complex technical challenges.
- Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Participate in strategic planning and long-range forecasting for site engineering capabilities and needs.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required. (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing areas are preferred)
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role within a high-volume manufacturing environment is required
- Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and managing complex engineering projects, is a must have.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with automated manufacturing processes, robotics, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools (e.g., CAD).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed environment.
- Master's degree highly desirable
- Large factory Experience is preferred
