JAB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading organization in the dredging, marine construction, and heavy civil industry.
Reporting directly to C-suite leadership, this highly visible role will lead contract administration, commercial risk management, claims avoidance, and contractual compliance from project award through closeout.
This is not a traditional back office contracts role. We are seeking a seasoned construction professional who understands how contracts, project execution, risk, quality, documentation, and client relationships work together.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract review, administration, and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risk.
- Manage contractual notices, obligations, deadlines, and documentation.
- Support change orders, claims avoidance, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Prepare and review contractual correspondence and technical documentation.
- Partner closely with project managers, superintendents, estimators, quality teams, and executive leadership.
- Support client communications and protect the company's commercial interests.
- Provide contractual guidance throughout project execution and closeout.
- Support QMS, document control, and project compliance requirements.
Ideal Background
Experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred:
- Dredging / Marine Construction
- Heavy Civil
- Ports & Harbors
- LNG / Industrial Infrastructure
- Federal / USACE Contracting
- EPC / Design-Build
