We are seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of day‐to‐day accounting operations and support leadership with accurate, timely financial information. This role is ideal for a hands‐on accountant who enjoys broad responsibility and working closely with ownership in a flourishing and established company.
The focus of this position is core accounting and financial oversight within a manufacturing/ construction environment. The role includes oversight of payroll and HR administration.
What will you do:
- Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries
- Perform monthly close activities and account reconciliations
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Support job costing and cost tracking within Sage
- Assist with WIP review and operational financial analysis
- Provide oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Interface with external accounting partners for tax payments and compliance
- Provide financial data and insight to support ownership decisions
- Oversee payroll processing and help improve workflow efficiency
- Support employee onboarding and basic HR and 401k administration
- Maintain accurate financial and payroll-related records
What would make you a great fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–7 years of accounting experience
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project‐based environments preferred
- Familiarity with job costing and operational accounting
- Hands-on experience with Paychex payroll and HRIS functionality strongly preferred
- Sage accounting experience and solid Excel skills
- Self‐starter who enjoys owning the accounting function
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats across the company
- Strong accounting fundamentals with intellectual curiosity
- High level of discretion and professionalism
