Company Description
The Frate Group is seeking a strong Controller / Accounting Manager to lead accounting and financial operations across our organization. This position is ideal for a hands-on financial leader who can balance daily execution with strategic business support.
In this role, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, and key accounting processes across multiple operating companies. You will also partner closely with leadership to provide meaningful financial insight, support profitability, and strengthen operational decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Lead accounting and finance operations across multiple business entities
- Oversee close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial analysis
- Maintain internal controls and sound financial procedures
- Oversee A/P, A/R, payroll, and benefits-related accounting administration
- Manage intercompany accounting, allocations, and fixed assets
- Support pricing, performance analysis, and cross-functional business decisions
- Coordinate annual tax support with external partners
- Lead and develop accounting staff while driving accountability and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Experience in accounting leadership roles with staff oversight
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with accounting systems; Accounting CS preferred
- Industry experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, or similar environments preferred
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools in finance, reporting, analysis, or workflow improvement preferred
- Exposure to Paylocity, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, TMS, or WMS platforms is a plus
