Description
The Frate Group is seeking a skilled and driven Controller / Accounting Manager to lead core accounting and financial operations across our organization. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, internal controls, and the day-to-day leadership of accounting functions across multiple operating companies.
This position works closely with executive leadership to support sound financial decision-making, maintain compliance, and strengthen the company’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead daily accounting and finance operations across multiple entities
· Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
· Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports
· Maintain internal controls, financial policies, and reporting accuracy
· Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and benefits-related accounting administration
· Manage intercompany transactions, expense allocations, and fixed asset accounting
· Support pricing, profitability analysis, and business performance reporting
· Coordinate with external tax partners on annual tax preparation and planning
· Oversee select finance-related compliance responsibilities
· Lead and develop accounting team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
· 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
· Prior experience in an accounting manager, senior accountant, or similar leadership role
· Supervisory experience, including coaching and performance management
· Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls
· Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
· Experience with accounting/reporting systems required; Accounting CS preferred
· Experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, or a multi-entity service environment preferred
· Familiarity with Paylocity, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, TMS, or WMS platforms is a plus
· Experience using AI-enabled tools in finance or accounting functions is preferred
