You will lead the critical transition from cash-basis to GAAP accounting, implement internal controls, establish an inventory tracking system, and optimize ERP reporting. What You'll Actually Do:
- Lead the transition from cash-basis to full GAAP-compliant financial reporting across operating entities.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, streamline the monthly close turnaround time, and prepare accurate financial reporting packages for ownership.
- Design and implement robust internal controls, revenue accounting methods, and cash forecasting templates and processes.
- Build a comprehensive inventory tracking system from the ground up and evaluate/select corresponding software solutions.
- Maximize the capabilities of Sage Intacct, including custom report design, module additions, and system process improvements.
- Provide detailed financial and operational analysis to ownership, including project-level revenue and cost reporting.
- Support long-term corporate growth initiatives, including tax planning strategies, potential M&A activity, and eventual business sale preparation.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated hands-on technical capability.
- Strong foundation in GAAP accounting; CPA license required or strongly preferred.
- Proven experience preparing financial statements, building cash forecasts, and implementing internal controls.
- Experience in oil & gas, oilfield services, field services, or operationally intensive environments preferred.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP implementations/optimizations.
- Exceptional resilience, confidence, and communication skills—able to professionally challenge leadership, explain the "why" behind decisions, and defend technical recommendations.
Where and How Much:
- Target Compensation: $180K – $210K.
- Up to 20% annual performance bonus.
- 100% In-Office, Greeley, CO.
- 3 weeks PTO, 3% retirement match, medical/dental/vision.
Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
