What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Engineer NC (With TS/SCI Clearance and an active Full Scope Polygraph) position at J&T Business Consulting?
Responsibilities:
- Support the DevOps team in testing and troubleshooting our web application
- Collaborate with operations and development teams to identify testing needs and develop test plans
- Triage reported operational issues
- Monitor Tier 1 application health and status metrics
- Report issues detected during testing or system usage via the ticketing system
- Perform system and application installations and upgrades
- Provide operational support and/or training to users
- Monitor and respond to application-related Jira Service Desk tickets
- Occasionally respond to mission-critical after-hours calls
- Participate in minor CONUS/OCONUS travel (~1–2 times per year)
- 10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or 14 years without the degree
- Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Linux environments (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9)
- Experience with Grafana
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience providing customer support through Jira Service Desk
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
