Executive Vice President – Branch Manager & Commercial / Agricultural Lending Lead

Position Overview

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Executive Vice President supervises employees and operational functions of the Spencer branch. This role is deeply involved in the financial institution’s funds management activities and actively participates in the Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO), making strategic recommendations regarding budget preparation, profit forecasts, and operational enhancements.

Serving as a primary loan officer, this individual will develop, structure, and service a high-performing loan portfolio focused heavily on Commercial and Agricultural lending. Additionally, this position manages bank-wide Marketing and Business Development initiatives across all locations and acts in place of the Chief Executive Officer or President in their absence.

Key Responsibilities

Branch Leadership & Senior Management

• Supervise, manage, and mentor Spencer branch employees and oversee daily operational functions.
  
  

• Participate in funds management activities and active ALCO decision-making.
  
  

• Provide strategic input and recommendations for annual budget preparation, profit forecasting, and operational improvements.
  
  

• Coordinate branch activities in strict alignment with established banking policies, regulatory standards, and operating procedures.
  
  

• Assume executive management duties and act in place of the CEO or President when required.
  
  

Commercial & Agricultural Lending

• Act as a senior Loan Officer, developing and servicing a robust portfolio consisting primarily of Commercial and Agricultural loans.
  
  

• Drive portfolio growth through new loan generation while continuing to service selected existing relationships.
  
  

• Represent the institution at civic affairs, community events, and in negotiations with external companies, businesses, and government agencies.
  
  

Marketing & Business Development

• Formulate and execute bank-wide Marketing and Business Development strategies to drive deposit and loan growth across all locations.
  
  

• Direct and oversee the bank's Call Program, assisting loan officers in their business development and outreach efforts.
  
  

• Lead the Marketing Committee and serve as a prominent community representative through involvement in local civic and business organizations.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 15 years of progressive banking industry experience.
  
  

• 15 years of direct experience in Commercial Lending.
  
  

• 15 years of direct experience in Agricultural Lending.
  
  

• Proven executive leadership capability with demonstrated branch management experience.
  
  

• Strong background in funds management, ALCO participation, and bank financial performance analysis.
  
  

• Demonstrated track record of business development, portfolio growth, and active community involvement.
  
  

• Excellent negotiation, team leadership, and strategic planning skills.
