What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at J Scott Catering?
We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our team at J Scott Catering. We are an off-premise catering company that is based in Malvern, PA. Most hours will take place in our main kitchen in Malvern. You will be working directly with our Executive chef as well as prep chefs during the week. Occasional work would be at one of our off-site venues, no further than 30 minutes away.

The overall goal is to maintain cleanliness in and around the kitchen. Dishwasher responsibilities include collecting used kitchen equipment, dishes, plates and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dish washing machines
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
- Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
- Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
- Remove garbage regularly
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
Skills
- Work experience as a Dishwasher
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
- High school diploma is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
