Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to support our busy Bar and Grille.The ideal candidate will assist bartenders and staff by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on customer service, food handling, and bar support. Prior experience in food service, banquet settings, or hospitality is preferred but not required. A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently during night shifts are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure smooth service during busy hours
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and surfaces
• Support food preparation tasks such as garnishing drinks or preparing simple bar snacks when needed
• Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes from the bar area promptly
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing orders when necessary
• Ensure compliance with food handling and safety standards in all activities
• Support catering and banquet events by setting up supplies and assisting with service as directed
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons professionally and courteously
• Assist with general restaurant or hotel duties related to food industry standards

Skills

• Experience in cleaning, bussing, or food service roles within a nightclub, restaurant, or hotel environment
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
• Previous experience in banquet service, catering, or hospitality roles such as barista experience or serving is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Excellent organizational skills for restocking supplies and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with cash handling or cashiering is beneficial but not required
