Rooted in our mission to “Go the Extra Mile,” we are seeking highly-skilled Insurance & Restoration Project manager/Sales Estimator for our Insurance & Restoration division. This position is responsible for managing residential and commercial restoration projects from the initial customer contact through estimating, project completion, billing, and collection.
This role requires strong communication skills, construction knowledge, sales ability, and the ability to manage customers, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, vendors, field employees, and internal team members. Candidate must be able to work on-site in the Cookeville office and travel to job sites as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet with residential and commercial clients to assess restoration or repair needs.
- Determine whether the project involves an insurance claim or direct customer work.
- Prepare estimates, scopes of work, contracts, and related project documentation.
- Work with insurance adjusters, carriers, and customers to reach an agreed-upon scope of work.
- Sell and secure approved restoration and repair projects.
- Coordinate project schedules, labor, materials, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Determine whether work will be completed in-house or through subcontractors.
- Procure, hire, schedule, and manage subcontractors when needed.
- Prepare subcontract agreements and manage related documentation.
- Manage job costs, change orders, billing, invoicing, and collection of funds.
- Maintain accurate project records and communication notes.
- Use construction and restoration software, including Xactimate, Procore, and Sage 300 CRE.
- Represent J&S professionally with customers, insurance representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
Job Requirements
- Construction experience or solid understanding of residential and/or commercial construction required.
- Experience in restoration, estimating, sales, or project management preferred.
- Experience with Xactimate, Procore, and Sage 300 CRE preferred, or ability to learn.
- Ability to read and understand scopes of work, estimates, plans, and project documents.
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, schedules, and changing priorities.
- Ability to coordinate with customers, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and follow-through skills.
- Financial integrity and ability to manage billing, collections, and project costs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Professional appearance and conduct required.
Compensation
Hourly pay plus commission. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and Company compensation structure.
