What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician Level 4 position at J. Rettenmaier USA LP?
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Establish Predictive & Preventative Maintenance programs utilizing CMMS software & other tools as needed
- Complete machine repair tasks as needed
- Complete installation of new equipment
- Provide technical training for maintenance technicians
- Work with Maintenance Lead to ensure equipment documentation is transferred to the shop for reference
- Lead small group of mechanics and/or contractors as needed
- Fill in for Maintenance Lead as needed
- Work normal shift as well as On-Call rotation
- Work independently, or within a group, to complete Maintenance tasks
- Complete work using fundamental mechanical & electrical principles
- Work within CMMS software to establish/update PM SOP’s, document work orders & maintain spare parts inventory
- Systematically troubleshoot & resolve problems independently, both during normal shift & On-Call
- Troubleshoot & repair all installations as needed
- Share knowledge gained through years of experience with less experienced technicians & operators
- Communicate to all departments within the organization
- Work in a safe manner, following all relevant safety policies & procedures
- Follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- Other Duties as necessary
Requirements
- High School diploma
- 3- 5 years of experience as a Maintenance / Electrical Repair Tech. or Millwright
- Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic & electrical systems
- PLC knowledge / troubleshooting ability
- Journeyman’s card or Associates degree in Maintenance & or Electrical Technology or similar field preferred
- Strong self-motivation, trouble shooting skills & sense of urgency
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally & in writing
