Job Summary

CDL truck driver, tanker endorsement, and experienced vac truck operator

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized trucks such as dump trucks.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper cargo securement and compliance with safety standards.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems while planning optimal delivery schedules for timely arrivals.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logs of driving hours, inspection reports, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery updates, or safety concerns during trips.
• Ensure proper truck loading and unloading procedures are followed to prevent damage or accidents during transit.
• Requirements
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated ( tanker).
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards related to trucking operations.
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks safely.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
• Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually or with equipment such as forklifts; must meet physical demands of the role.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
