Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steer mini excavators and other machinery to complete construction tasks efficiently and safely.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety standards are met
- Assist with site preparation activities including grading, excavation, loading, and material handling
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators and similar machinery. Not looking for a seat jockey. Must have experience.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site safety procedures and operational standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery
- Valid drivers License
- Ability to follow grade, set new grade.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and ability to adapt to various project needs
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods
