Superintendent

Position Summary

The Contractor's Superintendent (Overall Field Manager responsible for Construction).

This position is located in Watervliet, NY, in the Albany area.

Job Specifications:

• Performs all Superintendent duties required of the Contractor except any duties required under "Superintendence of the Subcontractors" below.
• Serves as the Government's sole on-site point of contact in all matters relating to the work, including, but not limited to, scheduling of work, utility interruptions, and testing.
• Attends all job meetings.
• On-site at all times during all construction activities.
• Serves under and reports directly to the Contractor's Project Manager.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years' experience in construction on a similar-sized project as a project superintendent and or project manager.
• The individual must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
• The individual must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
• Preference for candidates who have completed new construction of steel frame building with a value of $20MM or greater.
• Current safety credentials to include OSHA-30
• Knowledge of Procore software is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge in construction methods, practices, schedules, logistics, and budgets
• Must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take initiative, problem-solve and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Professional demeanor in person, online, and via phone with excellent verbal and written communication skills
