Job Summary:
Will be responsible for processing certified payroll and labor compliance documents, processing payroll, maintaining accurate payroll records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, organization and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process and submit certified payrolls to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws.
· Ensure contractual obligations and certified payroll reports are submitted accurately and on schedule.
· Upload compliance documentation into project-specific payroll tracking systems.
· Review initial job packets for certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements.
· Review and process subcontractor certified payroll documentation in a timely manner.
· Export and import timecard data between timekeeping and payroll systems.
· Review and enter labor allocations reported on timecards.
· Prepare terminations, manual checks, and payroll adjustments as needed.
· Produces certificates of insurance required for Projects
· Completes all OCIP/CCIP/UCIP enrollment forms
· Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and payroll issues.
· Weekly payroll for all employees, including hourly and salaried staff.
· Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and hours.
· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and related issues.
· Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices.
· Maintain confidentiality of employees and payroll information.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Understanding of union/non-union and prevailing wage payroll.
- Certified payroll reporting.
- Demonstrates flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem solving
- Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- Current knowledge of applicable federal and state wage and hour laws and taxation
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Display superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills
- Maintain a tactful, mature, and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of union/prevailing wage payroll experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and outlook
- Procontractor Experience a plus
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with LCP Tracker, DIR Reporting.
