Job description:
J/K Excavation & Grading has been operating for 34 years. We are a full-service Grading & heavy Civil Construction Company. JK performs work as a General Contractor as well as a Sub-Contractor.
Responsibilities include:
- Working in a Collaborative Fast Environment.
- Able to calculate quantities from AGTEK, Bluebeam Software.
- Able to assist in Building GPS 3D Models.
- Analysis of Plans, Specifications, and other engineering documents.
- Perform detailed Quantity Take-offs.
- Verification of Site Conditions.
- Responsible for timely and accurate take-offs.
- Experience in B2W Software.
- Prepare Bid documents & preliminary schedules.
- Prepare Pre-Bid RFI's & Work Plans.
- Attend Pre-Bid Site Visits.
- Provide Support to Operations during construction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Grading/Heavy Civil Construction as a Senior Estimator.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Able to work in a Team Environment.
- Being a Self-Motivator is a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills with owner reps, engineer firms, soil engineers, sub-contractors, JK Team and JK Senior Management.
- Proficient in AGTEK, CAD Files, B2W, Bluebeam, Microsoft suite of Programs.
- Excellent Communication Skills both written and oral.
- Attention to detail.
- Time Management, Multi-tasking, and Prioritization of Task.
- Valid CA Driver's License.
- Verification of Prior work experience.
Working Conditions
- Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm
- Salaried Position
- Compensation-$140,000.00 to $165,000.00 starting Salary DOE.
