The Office/Vault Attendant is responsible for handling paperwork, ensuring the accuracy of vault transactions, and maintaining an accurate account of company funds. This position involves a variety of tasks including managing route banks, preparing daily bank deposits, and safeguarding company assets. The ideal candidate will have experience in cash handling, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively with team members and management.

Job Responsibilities 

• Handle paperwork related to vault transactions and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain accurate accounts of company funds, including checking in and issuing route banks.
• Ensure the accuracy of check-in/check-out processes and the issuance of cash bankrolls.
• Count and report all bankrolls and drops; and prepare daily bank deposits.
• Ensure all money handling equipment is operating efficiently.
• Complete and verify all required paperwork for balancing the vault bankroll and investigate discrepancies.
• Wrap all coins, count in all drop currency, and ensure accurate balancing of the vault bankroll.
• Safeguard company assets by monitoring and verifying funds.
• Place orders for and verify money received from the bank.
• Remotely monitor ATM balances, set up ATM fills as necessary, and verify returned balances.
• Settle collection payments with daily collection customer locations.
• Answer phone calls throughout the day and dispatch team members for service as needed.
• Assist in other responsibilities as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent. Six months of cash handling experience preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be insurable by the company.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass drug and background checks.
• Basic Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems.
• Ability to handle currency and coins.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is low.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
