Job Title: Jr. Data Scientist

Location: Brooklyn, NY (4 days onsite / 1 day work from home)

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Jr. Data Scientist to support business intelligence, marketing analytics, and data-driven decision-making. This role focuses on transforming complex data into actionable insights, building scalable data solutions, and developing machine learning models that improve business performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and eager to work across multiple teams in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, organize, and interpret data from internal systems and digital marketing platforms to uncover trends and deliver meaningful business insights.
• Develop, maintain, and improve ETL workflows to ensure accurate, efficient data movement for reporting and analytics.
• Design, train, validate, and deploy machine learning models that enhance business operations and optimize marketing performance.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide visibility into key performance indicators and campaign results.
• Conduct exploratory and ad hoc data analyses to support strategic initiatives, answer business questions, and identify growth opportunities.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations.
• Help establish and maintain data quality standards while continuously improving reporting processes and analytics capabilities.

Requirements:

• 2 years of professional experience utilizing Python to automate workflows, analyze large datasets, and develop machine learning solutions.
• 2 years of hands-on experience working with SQL to retrieve, manipulate, and transform data for reporting and business analysis. Familiarity with MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server is preferred.
• 1 year of experience creating, supporting, or improving ETL workflows that move and prepare data across multiple systems.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build, test, refine, and deploy machine learning models for real-world business applications.
• 1 year of experience working within cloud-based environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, or comparable source control tools for managing code and collaborating with development teams.
• Solid knowledge of database design principles, data integrity, reporting methodologies, and analytical best practices. Exposure to Power BI, eCommerce metrics, or paid digital advertising analytics is considered a strong advantage.
