Job Title: Collections Paralegal

Location: Freehold, NJ, On-site

Compensation: $65,000–$90,000/year

Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Community Association Collections Paralegal to join its Freehold office. This is a fast-paced opportunity to work with a high-performing, team-oriented legal practice. The ideal candidate will have proven collections experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent client service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage legal collection matters for community association clients from initial demand through resolution.
• Handle collection-related legal processes, including FDCPA matters, bankruptcy, and foreclosure proceedings.
• Prepare and maintain legal documents, correspondence, case files, and collection records.
• Communicate professionally with clients, homeowners, attorneys, courts, and other parties.
• Track deadlines, case status, payments, and required legal filings.
• Assist attorneys with collection matters and other legal-related tasks as needed.
• Provide timely, accurate, and professional support in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

• MUST have previous experience working as a Collections Paralegal.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), bankruptcy, and foreclosure processes.
• Experience with community association collections preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service focus.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Tabs3 and PracticeMaster is helpful but not required.
