Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including trimmers, blowers, and compact excavators to perform various landscaping duties
- Support planting projects by preparing soil, planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing irrigation systems
- Help with hardscape installations like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Perform routine lawn care activities including aeration, overseeding, and snow plowing during winter months
- Conduct landscape inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report findings promptly
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic repairs or notify supervisors of larger mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping tasks such as lawn care, gardening, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge of tools and small machinery is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant care and tree trimming techniques
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials regularly
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to landscape maintenance and safety standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and hardscape projects
