Production Inventory Coordinator

Are you detail-oriented? Do you have a background in horticulture and experience in inventory management? J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co., a wholesale tree nursery known for growing the industry’s finest shade and flowering trees, is seeking a Production Inventory Coordinator to join our team in Boring, OR.

This full-time position involves coordinating internal inventory transfers, facilitating communication between sales and production, and maintaining inventory data to ensure seamless production processes. Key responsibilities include maintaining and preparing data for annual reviews, managing inventory items and recipes in SBI, tracking production progress and providing necessary reports, supporting costing programs, and providing forecast and inventory projection reports. You will also collaborate with sales during the allocation process to ensure accuracy.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in horticulture or five or more years of relevant experience, with wholesale nursery experience preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills are essential, along with proficiency in computers and office software such as Word and Excel. The ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints is a must.

The role involves both office work and field visits, requiring travel to outdoor sites in various weather conditions. Extended hours may be necessary during peak seasons.
