- Lead and supervise a professional maintenance crew, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers and various mowing equipment.
- Interact with clients professionally, understanding their service level agreements and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain company yard, buildings, vehicles, trailers, and client work sites in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
- Identify and report problematic issues on assigned client sites.
- Understand and work towards the production goal for your crew and impact on total company team.
- At least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years’ experience on a professional maintenance crew.
- Physically able to handle the workload of a maintenance team member, including lifting 50 pounds without assistance.
- Full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and insurable by JFD’s insurance company to drive JFD vehicles.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Proficiency in operating a smart device for phone, scanning, email, photos, jobsite navigation, and time tracking.
- Understanding of proper pruning techniques per plant type and common plant material.
The salary range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hour and up based on experience. Overtime is paid at time and a half over 40 hours per week.
