Compensation:

  • Starting base salary for this position is: $75,000 per year
  • Pay is based on job-related experience

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday (starting at 8:00am)
  • This position is subject to a varying schedule.

Location:

  • This position is hybrid in the St. Michael location.

Essential Function:

  • Manage. Coach mentor and develop Customer Service Representatives and Logistics Specialist Representatives in all areas of performance. Oversee day-to-day operations of the CSR and LSR teams. Establishes goals, effectively communicates to associates, regularly check-in on progress and support associates in achieving set goals. Responsible for hiring decisions and performance management of direct reports. Ensure team is cross trained to backup teammates in their absence.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration. Work with teams throughout the organization to assure customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with internal partners by working closely with Transportation and Partners Dispatch for inbound and outbound shipments and assisting Sales in maintaining accounts. Provides weekend and after-hours support and coverage as needed.
  • Processes and Procedures. Provides training to new associates. Builds and improves processes and procedures. Develops and executes training on new processes to CSR and LSR team. Ensure all CSR/LSRs are properly trained; identifies opportunities in specific or overall training needs for individuals and the team and ensure documentation meets our standards.
  • Systems. Understand the TMS and be sure that team utilizes the system effectively. Ensuring processes are documented and utilized.
  • Continuous Improvement. Support and participate in process improvement initiatives. Responsible for execution of strategies as directed by the Manger.
  • Other duties as assigned. Performs special projects or assignments as requested.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years customer service experience
  • 2-3 years logistics background (Brokerage, 3PL, Cold Storage)
  • Prior leadership experience. Ability to coach, mentor, and give constructive feedback.
  • Ability to supervise daily operations and support a team.
  • Ability to make quick and confident decisions.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities or customer needs.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

  • Safety Awareness - Follow all safety laws, policies, and procedures. Immediately report safety concerns to supervisor. Attend, and successfully complete, when applicable, all required safety training.
  • Quality Awareness - Comply with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Food Safety and Quality Food Programs (SQF).
