Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, experienced Commercial Project Manager to lead and manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee commercial projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and change orders; ensure financial accountability and cost control.
- Lead project meetings and ensure timely communication of project status, risks, and issues.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent and field staff to ensure alignment between office and job site operations.
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and ensure timely delivery of scopes.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance are enforced on all job sites.
- Manage the closeout process, including punch lists, commissioning, and final client turnover.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Experience managing projects in commercial, construction, and real estate.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and contract documents.
- Estimation experience
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field
- PMP or equivalent project manager
- OSHA 10 certification
- Familiarity with financial reporting and forecasting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards
