iWorld Professionals is seeking an Accountant for our client, a growing manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in Rochester NY. This is an onsite position in Rochester NY.

Accountant Position Summary:
The Accountant will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain reliable records, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with GAAP
- Record daily cash transactions and reconcile cash activity
- Process weekly payroll journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, payroll, accruals, and prepaid accounts
- Maintain fixed asset and leased asset records, including depreciation and amortization schedules
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Support external audit requests and prepare related documentation
- Ensure policies and internal controls are followed
- Analyze processes and recommend improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy
- Perform additional accounting and finance tasks as needed
Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or corporate experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work onsite in Rochester NY.
