iWorld Professionals is seeking a Director of Tax Advisory for our client, a leader in providing financial and accounting advisory services. Location: Philadelphia, PA / Wilmington, DE | New York Metro. This is a 4-day on-site position at any of the above locations with occasional travel.
Director of Tax Advisory Position Summary:

Director of Tax Advisory Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of high-quality, personalized tax advisory and compliance services
- Partner with senior leadership to shape the direction and growth of the Tax Advisory practice
- Serve as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurial businesses, executives, and high-net-worth individuals
- Oversee engagement performance including quality, profitability, and efficiency
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and leadership teams on staffing, forecasting, and resource planning
- Guide client onboarding, engagement economics, and service delivery models
- Mentor, develop, and grow high-performing tax professionals
- Ensure compliance with quality, risk, and regulatory standards
- Leverage technology and analytics to improve workflows, insights, and efficiency and continuous process improvement
Director of Tax Advisory Requirements:
- 10 years of progressive tax experience with proficiency in preparing and reviewing S Corp and trust tax returns. CPA required.
- Background advising high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and multi-entity structures
- Experience working with entrepreneurs, emerging growth companies, or family offices preferred
- Prior client-facing leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax
- Experience with individuals, partnerships, trusts, and S-corps
- Exposure to complex tax strategies such as entity structuring, deferred compensation, and transactions
- Prior experience at a Big 4 or leading regional accounting firm
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong communicator who can translate complex tax topics clearly
