Ivy Skin Studio is a new, patient-centered medical spa dedicated to delivering exceptional cosmetic and medical dermatology care in a welcoming, professional environment. We are seeking a friendly and professional Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator who is passionate about providing outstanding patient experiences. This role combines both clinical and front desk responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, supporting business operations, and being hands-on in dermatology care.
The anticipated start date for this position is October 2026.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and create a warm, positive first impression
- Check patients in and out, including conducting patient intake, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-up visits
- Support providers during patient visits, including preparing for and assisting in cosmetic and medical procedures
- Prepare, restock, and clean exam rooms before and after patient visits
- Ensure operations stay on schedule to minimize patient wait time
- Answer phones and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
- Have knowledge of all products and services to help answer patient questions
- Perform inventory audits and assist with product ordering
- Complete other administrative and clinical duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Two years of customer service experience with preference for medical spa or other healthcare setting
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Willingness to assist with social media / marketing
- Reliable, punctual, professional
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cosmetic / medical dermatology or a medical spa or other medical office setting
- Experience with social media and/or marketing
- Three or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR
