What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Navigator position at IVI RMA North America?
IVI RMA North America has a need for a Patient Navigator for our Freehold, NJ clinic. This is a full-time role.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Serves as a critical resource for patients across the patient care team to facilitate ease of, and satisfaction with, the patient experience and treatment cycle.
- Provides first-line contact to support patients as they pursue treatment by helping to manage day-to-day logistics, simplifies education and emotional needs across the continuum of care.
- Serves as a point of communication between patient, healthcare, and all admin team members to enhance communication, promote good working relationships, accomplish assigned duties, and of care.
- Responds to patient survey data and patient emails with concerns on care.
- Assists in connecting patients to services for support (.e.:social work, financial counseling).
- Tracks all patient contacts, follow ups, barriers to care and outcome.
- Supports the Patient Experience from a non-clinical point of view and assist in simplifying the process for patients.
Academic Training:
- Associates Degree in Social Work, Health or Social Sciences or related field.
- Studies level: Associate's degree
- Studies area: Social Work or other related field
- Bachelor’s Degree–preferred
- Studies level:University Education (Bachelor's Degree)
- Studies area:Social Workorotherrelated field
Position Requirements/Experience:
- Hospitality, client service, account management experience-preferred
- 5 yearsofyearsofdemonstratedserviceexcellenceexperience;priorprogressively responsible experience coordinating inpatient care
- Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility –preferred
- Experiencein,orknowledgeof,scheduling,clinicalterminology,insurance,clinicprotocols
Technical Skills:
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Keyboard skills of 25 words required
- Experience with medical office software program(s) (EMR’s)-preferred
