Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive laboratory testing of cannabis extracts, edibles, and other products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Perform routine quality control analyses, including microbiology testing, histology, molecular biology techniques, and analysis of chemical constituents.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory procedures, data collection, and test results using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Assist in research & development initiatives by supporting experimental design, data analysis, and process optimization for product innovation.
- Follow strict laboratory procedures and safety protocols aligned with FDA regulations and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support validation activities for manufacturing processes and laboratory equipment calibration to uphold high standards of scientific research.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in an industrial or clinical laboratory setting with familiarity in GLP, CGMP, and FDA regulations.
- Strong knowledge of microbiology, histology, molecular biology techniques, and general laboratory procedures.
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of interpreting complex scientific data accurately.
- Familiarity with research laboratory practices related to cannabis or botanical products is preferred.
- Understanding of veterinary terminology or animal physiology is a plus for certain product lines or research projects.
- Ability to follow detailed protocols meticulously while maintaining flexibility for evolving project needs.
