Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Starts before-shift inspection of forklift for preventive maintenance and safety and PPE.
- Assists wherever needed throughout the warehouse in shipping and receiving dept.
- Assists with Inventory control ensuring counts correct.
- Participates in Physical Inventories.
- Stacks and organizes product on pallets, shrink wraps to prepare for shipment.
- Performs daily PM checks on the forklifts. (check sheet)
- Practices proper operation and use of the dock plate restraints.
- Practices proper operation of the circular saw and wrapping machines.
- Ensures the Hazardous marking on the Bill of Lading matches the Markings on the containers.
- Monitors the Truck Drivers entering the facility for DOT Security.
- Monitors the Use of proper PPE for the Truck Drivers entering the facility.
- Monitors the safe storage of the products in their respective bin locations and shipping lanes.
- Pick and pack customer orders to meet OTIF. Domestic and international orders.
- Utilizes warehouse practices, 5S and good housekeeping practices.
- Complies with the DOT Security Plan and regulations.
- Monitors the Kanban inventory system.
- Mobil barcode scanners for order picking.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, not required.
- One year of related manufacturing experience preferred, not required.
- Reading and writing skills required.
- Ability to operate a counterbalance forklift.
