Job Duties
- Promotes and adheres to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) guidelines and procedures; ITW Safety Pledge.
- Completes a minimum submission of two Safety Observations per month.
- Identifies, recommends and ensures appropriate follow-through on safety initiatives/improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate, develop, and engage team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Leads manufacturing operations within assigned areas to achieve safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and inventory objectives.
- Drives operational improvements using 5S and other production/lean methods.
- Direct and support hourly non-exempt team members in coordinating and executing daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demands, on-time delivery, inventory requirements, and uptime performance metrics.
- Coordinates with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and support production requirements.
- Collaborates with EHS and Quality teams to ensure consistent application of functional processes across production lines.
- Investigate operational issues and recommend long-term improvements related to safety, cost, quality, and operational performance.
- Maintains high housekeeping and safety standards throughout the manufacturing area.
- Utilizes company ERP systems to support material planning, inventory management, and lot traceability.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
- Completes other duties as required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience; experience leading production or direct labor teams required.
- Background in safety and environmental practices preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret and apply detailed written or verbal instructions using sound judgment.
- Ability to effectively address and resolve issues involving employees, equipment, or operational resources.
- Previous ERP system experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
