Position Overview:
ITSC is seeking a Technical Writer II to support the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Sector Risk Management Engagement activities. This position will develop, edit, and manage technical, governance, analytical, and executive-level products supporting Sector Management leadership and Sector Risk Management Agencies. The successful candidate will translate complex critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical security, operational risk, and sector-coordination information into clear, accurate, and audienceappropriate materials.
Key Responsibilities:
? Draft and edit executive-level memoranda, talking points, summaries, white papers, briefing decks, strategic analyses, and post-engagement reports.
? Develop sector engagement packages, including agendas, pre-reads, briefing materials, logistics plans, and attendee information.
? Prepare post-engagement summaries, action-item updates, coordination reports, and after-action documentation.
? Develop and maintain governance documents, including sector charters, bylaws, membership criteria, procedural materials, and standard operating procedures.
? Research and synthesize information regarding critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical security, operational risks, sector challenges, and interdependencies.
? Work with subject matter experts to collect, validate, organize, and refine technical and operational information.
? Translate complex technical material into clear content for senior government leaders, sector partners, and nontechnical audiences.
? Support the development of sector risk profiles, mitigation recommendations, readiness assessments, and decision-support materials.
? Develop reports summarizing participation data, stakeholder feedback, engagement trends, risks, and recommend operational improvements.
? Create and maintain decision logs, document-production logs, trackers, dashboards, workflow diagrams, and other supporting products.
? Coordinate document review, revision, approval, and final-delivery processes.
? Maintain version control and document audit trails to support accountability and compliance.
? Perform technical editing and quality-control reviews for accuracy, clarity, grammar, tone, consistency, and formatting.
? Ensure deliverables comply with CISA and DHS templates, writing standards, and records-management requirements.
? Prepare rapid response briefing notes, summaries, executive messaging, and other timesensitive products during emergent events.
? Track deliverables, submission dates, review status, revisions, approvals, and final acceptance.
? Support document routing, executive correspondence, and preparation of leadershipready materials.
? Perform additional technical writing and program-support duties as assigned.
