Vice President of Prefabrication
Location: Dallas, TX
Overview
A leading national electrical contractor is seeking a Vice President of Prefabrication to establish, scale, and lead a high‑performing prefabrication division. This executive-level position will drive strategy, operational excellence, and integration of prefabrication into field execution across large-scale commercial, mission-critical, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and growth of the prefabrication division across multiple regions
- Establish and scale centralized and regional prefab facilities to support project demand
- Integrate prefabrication into project delivery workflows, working closely with operations, VDC, and estimating
- Develop and implement standardized prefab processes, quality controls, and production workflows
- Drive improvements in labor productivity, cost efficiency, and schedule performance
- Partner with preconstruction teams to embed prefab strategies into bids and project planning
- Oversee spooling, kitting, and just-in-time delivery models for field execution
- Maintain full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance
- Build and lead a high-performing team across production, management, and engineering functions
- Identify and implement automation, technology, and process improvements to scale operations
Experience & Qualifications
- 10 years of experience within electrical construction, prefabrication, VDC, or operations leadership
- Proven experience building or scaling a prefabrication or manufacturing function within construction
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and large-scale project delivery
- Experience supporting data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects preferred
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-location teams and cross-functional operations
- Strong commercial acumen with budget, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
- Familiarity with BIM/VDC workflows, spool drawings, and prefab integration processes

Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $250,000
- Bonus: Up to 50% annual performance bonus
