ITnova is seeking a Microsoft 365 Security Administrator with experience supporting the Microsoft 365 suite, identity security, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), SharePoint, and cybersecurity operations. This role is responsible for securing and administering the Microsoft 365 environment, managing user access and authentication, responding to security-related tickets, and supporting enterprise-wide security and compliance practices.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor Microsoft 365 suite including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
- Investigate, triage and remediate security alerts and incidents within the Microsoft 365 Defender portal
- Configure and maintain security policies including anti-phishing, anti-malware, Safe Links and Safe Attachments
- Implement and manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access
- Administer Microsoft SharePoint permissions, access controls, and site security
- Respond to and resolve security and access-related tickets through the Zoho ticketing system
- Document procedures, incident responses, and configuration changes
- Collaborate with compliance team to maintain a secure Microsoft 365 environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience administering Microsoft 365
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity)
- Experience administering SharePoint Online permissions and governance
- Experience working within a ticketing/ITSM system (e.g., Zoho, ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles including threat detection, incident response, and access control
- Experience configuring Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity policies
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
