Apartment Groundskeeper

Job Summary

Looking for immediate Apartment Groundskeeper in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our residential community. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for caring for outdoor spaces, ensuring lush landscapes, and well-maintained hardscapes that enhance residents’ living experience. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, plant identification, and equipment operation - you should have your own tools to hand weed but can help with some. You will help create an inviting environment where residents feel proud to call home. PLEASE NOTE *There is no lawn mowing for this job*

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including lots of hand weeding, trimming, pruning, and planting , watering palnts to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
• Manage hand watering to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to prevent water waste
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management
• Operate hand tools, power tools, for landscaping and landscaping projects
• Maintain hardscape features like walkways, patios, and retaining walls to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal
• Conduct snow shoveling during winter months to keep pathways clear and accessible for residents and staff
• Implement pest control measures following pesticide management protocols to protect plant health and safety

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate a variety of landscaping and maintenance equipment
• Extensive experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and horticulture practices
• Knowledge of plant identification, tMUST KNOW THE DIFFEREMCE BETWEEN A PERRENIAL AND A WEED, Shrub care including trimming and pruning techniques
• Familiarity repair, and troubleshooting
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, with confidently and safely
• Landscaping Construction experience is a plus for hardscape repairs or upgrades
• Excellent understanding of pesticide management procedures following safety guidelines
• Ability to perform snow shoveling efficiently during winter months while prioritizing safety standards

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
