What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator-2nd Shift position at ITG Cigars?
We are looking for several highly skilled, enthusiastic, and reliable Machine Operators to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience operating machinery in an industrial setting, be able to troubleshoot issues, work independently, problem solve and demonstrate ability with continuous improvement initiatives.
Positions will vary in a batching, sheeting and slitting environment. Must have the ability to work with simple math and apply the concepts of fractions, percentages and ratio. Must be able to read a tape measure, navigate computer screens and utilize manual tools such as measuring cups and scales.
Capabilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
- Follow written and verbal directions and to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Troubleshooting operating issues and problem solving.
- Read, write & communicate effectively.
- Understand and calculate basic math. Add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use a standard calculator.
- Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes, and apply procedures using good judgment.
- Work independently or part of a team; ability to interact appropriately with others.
- Work with supervision, receiving instructions/feedback, coaching/counseling and/or action/discipline.
- Use basic computer systems and key entry data collectors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
