Duties
- Prepare fresh salads and accompaniments according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills
- Support the kitchen team in food handling, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad station and kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Help with menu planning by suggesting ingredient combinations and seasonal options
- Ensure all food is stored properly and handled safely to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Support catering events or special meal services by preparing ingredients or assisting with serving as needed
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments such as restaurants or catering is highly valued
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards is essential for maintaining high-quality hygiene practices
