Orwashers Bakery (Orwashers.com) is a New York City institution, founded in 1916 in a small storefront on the Upper East Side. Today, Orwashers continues to be known for its New York classics including rye bread, pumpernickel, bagels, rugelach, black and white cookies and so much more.
In addition to selling bread to many of New York’s top restaurants and gourmet grocery stores, Orwashers currently operates three retail bakeries—on the Upper East Side and the Upper West Side in Manhattan, and in Roslyn Heights, Long Island. Orwashers also delivers our breads and baked goods throughout Manhattan and distributes to carefully selected partners nationwide. ABOUT THE POSITION:
Orwashers Artisan Bakery is looking for outgoing and friendly people to join our Willis Ave. We are currently hiring a Grill Cook / Sandwich Maker to work a flexible schedule from 6am - 2pm.
Weekend availability is a must. Experience is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare Eggs, Lunch Sandwiches, and general prep
Take Pride in the food you prepare.
Maintains high cleanliness standards and keep your area organized.
Must be able to work 8 hours on your feet.
Be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Working as a member of the team, flexible enough to pitch in where needed to get the job done!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the culinary team to ensure quality and consistency of our artisan products.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety Plans.
- Inventory finished product.
