Position Summary
The Excellence Manager will be responsible for implementing and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across the site, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role will lead the Excellence program deployment, fostering a culture of operational and customer excellence while optimizing safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The ideal candidate will partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and develop problem-solving capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy deployment (SD) by aligning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all levels of the organization.
- Develop and implement the Excellence and Cost to Win (CTW) strategy, ensuring effective governance and execution.
- Coach and mentor the plant leadership team on Lean Six Sigma principles, benchmarking best practices, and embedding a zero-loss approach.
- Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, leading Kaizen events, and improving site performance through structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Develop and grow Lean Six Sigma capabilities, ensuring systematic deployment of Excellence methodologies across all functions.
- Oversee and coordinate component teams and focused improvement projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Manage a team of Excellence Factory Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and capability-building.
- Ensure site-wide engagement in operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 7 years of manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 3 years of production system operations experience.
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies (Six Sigma Black Belt).
- Strong project/program management skills with a focus on cost optimization and efficiency.
- Experience working in multi-site and multicultural environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
