Excellent opportunity for a Phlebotomist to work with a global life sciences and healthcare company!
Part Time role- 7am-1:00pm M-F
3 years of phlebotomy doing blood draws on pediatrics, geriatrics, and hard stick experience
Position Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomy technician with experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collections as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Fully understand all of the physicians' orders.
- Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Process samples and prepare courier
- Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct.
- check in patients into touch system and take payments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience performing blood draws on pediatrics and geriatrics in a high-volume setting.
- Hard stick experience.
- Specimen processing and data entry
- Good computer skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass a color vision test
