Excellent opportunity for a Phlebotomist to work with a global life sciences and healthcare company!
3rd Shift- 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, rotating weekends and holidays
2 years of phlebotomy doing blood draws on geriatrics and cancer patients and performing hard sticks.
Position Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomy technician with experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collections as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Fully understand all of the physicians' orders.
- Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience performing blood draws on geriatrics, cancer patients, and hard sticks in a fast paced setting.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass a color vision test
