Test Lead – Mainframe Modernization
6 Month Contract
100% Remote
Our client is seeking a Test Lead to drive QA strategy for a large-scale modernization initiative replacing legacy systems with Salesforce-driven workflows, MuleSoft integrations, and modern web applications. The role will oversee end-to-end testing across applications, integrations, batch processes, and data migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead testing efforts across UI, API, batch processing, and data migration workstreams
- Demonstrate required hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude and Cursor to enhance test design, accelerate automation development, and improve overall QA productivity
- Validate integrations involving Salesforce, MuleSoft APIs, and external partner systems
- Oversee data quality, reconciliation, and validation for migrated and cleansed records
- Coordinate test planning, execution, defect management, and stakeholder reporting
Required Skills
- Proven QA leadership experience in mainframe modernization or large-scale transformation programs
- Test automation experience with Playwright is preferred
- Required hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude and Cursor in software development or QA workflows
- Expertise in API testing, integration testing, and data validation
- Experience validating complex system integrations and data migration initiatives
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($60-70/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
