Job description:
We are currently hiring an experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector in Corona.
Schedule is Monday- Friday, 7am-3:30pm, overtime as needed and flexibility with start time.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Quality Inspection team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee all inspection activities (incoming, in-process, and final) to ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer-specific aerospace standards.
- Approve inspection documentation, including nonconformance reports (NCRs), AS9102 forms, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify and resolve quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate measurements using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers; CMM and CAD experience is a plus.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to support consistent inspection accuracy.
- Ensure high-quality standards are upheld throughout production, from incoming goods to finished products leaving the facility.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics and inspection trends, ensuring data is accurately documented and reported.
- Support and participate in internal, customer, FAA, and third-party audits.
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and quality systems for reporting and documentation.
- Follow verbal and written instructions accurately; strong shop math skills and legible documentation are essential.
- Aerospace inspection experience under AS9100 standards.
- Other tasks as assigned.
